Gain the confidence and practical skills to manage first aid emergencies involving children in an outdoor learning environment.

Working in a Forest School setting brings unique challenges. Incidents may happen away from immediate access to medical support, emergency services may take longer to reach you, and injuries can occur in situations involving natural environments, tools, uneven terrain and outdoor activities.

Our specialist Forest School First Aid with Paediatric First Aid course combines EYFS-compliant Paediatric First Aid training with outdoor-specific scenarios, ensuring delegates are prepared for the realities of supporting children in woodland and outdoor learning environments.

The course is designed for Forest School leaders, early years practitioners, outdoor educators, childminders and anyone responsible for children in an outdoor setting.

The current Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework requires early years providers to ensure that appropriate paediatric first aid arrangements are in place, including ensuring that suitable Paediatric First Aid qualified staff are available when required.

Why choose Surrey First Aid Training?
With over 26 years' experience delivering specialist first aid training, we understand that outdoor environments require more than classroom-based theory.

Our courses are delivered in Guildford in small groups, using practical workshops and realistic outdoor scenarios to develop confidence and competence.

You'll practise responding to emergencies in the type of environment where these skills may actually be needed.
