6 Hour Emergency First Aid for Sports and Dance- 21st November 2022

The course covers:

• Acting, Safely, Promptly in an emergency
• The course covers:
• HSE requirements (including first aid boxes and reporting)
• The priorities of treatment
• Basic Life Support - Recovery Position & CPR, treating an unconscious casualty (including seizures) Adult, child, and baby
• Control of bleeding and wounds
• Minor injuries (including small cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds, small splinters)
• Preventing cross infection
• Common medical emergencies
• Head injuries and spinal management.
• Use of the Automatic External Defibrillator
• Choking: Adult, child, and baby

With the addition of sports-related incidents- tailoring the course to suit your needs.

• Sports injury Assessment (SALTAPS)
• Asthma
• Cardiac-related emergencies
• Diabetes
• Hyperventilating, asthma, anaphylaxis, diabetes, epilepsy, febrile convulsions
• Falls and working with gymnastics

On completion of the course you will receive a 6-hour Emergency First Aid certificate, which is valid for 3 years.

All delegates receive FREE skills update training annually as recommended by the Health and Safety Executive.

The cost of the training at our training room in Guildford is £168 inclusive of VAT, training certificate, refreshments, free parking and online resources.
