First Aid for Hospitality

Specialist course for staff and employers in the hospitality and catering industry.

This 6-hour course is designed for people who want to receive training in emergency first aid and is especially suited for nominated first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments such as commercial kitchens, hotels, restaurants, cafes, fast food outlets, pubs and clubs.

We are also able to deliver a 3 day First Aid at Work course specific to your industry.

Who was this course designed for?

 

The course is for people who work in hospitality. Ideally in low risk working environments such as commercial kitchens, hotels, restaurants, cafes, fast food outlets, pubs and clubs.

 

Course Content

 

The course follows the HSE Guidelines for 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work courses but can also be tailored to your specific needs:

  • Unconscious casualty
  • Primary Survey
  • CPR (Adult)
  • Shock
  • Seizures
  • Fainting
  • Choking (Adult)
  • Casualty Movement
  • Burns
  • Bleeding (minor and severe)
  • Use of the Automatic External Defibrillator

 

Course duration

 

The course runs for 6 hours. This is typically delivered over one full day.

 

Assessment

 

Competency-based training and continuous observation by the trainer.

 

Certification

 

Successful candidates will receive a certificate by email which is valid for three years.
