First Aid at Work Blended Learning (Level 3) 16th & 17th October 2023

Course content:

Day One:

• Bleeding (minor)
• Bleeding (severe) including chair saw, and catastrophic
• Bleeds caused by construction equipment
• Burns
• Casualty movement, when and how to move a patient appropriately
• Choking (Adult)
• CPR – Adult in outdoor environment protocols
• Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Drowning
• Fainting
• Primary Survey and secondary survey
• Stroke
• First Aid administration - the responsible person, first aid equipment, paperwork and reporting accidents

Day Two:

• Seizures and epilepsy
• Shock (all forms)
• Unconscious casualty
• Allergic reaction
• Asthma
• Bone, muscle and joint injury
• Crush Injuries and patient entrapment
• Chest pains (including heart attack)
• Spinal injury and management
• Head injury and trauma management

Day Three (online content):

• Refresher Day 1 and Day 2
• Eye injuries
• Low blood sugar
• Poisons
• Sprains and strains
• Minor injuries, grazes, abrasions
• Embedded objects
• Temperature relate emergency including Hyperthermia, Hypothermia and Febrile Convulsion
• Online Assessment

Our course also includes training for the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

All delegates receive FREE skills update training annually as recommended by the Health and Safety Executive.

The cost of the training at our training room in Guildford is £372 inclusive of VAT, training certificate, refreshments, free parking and online resources.

We can also deliver the First Aid at Work training at your workplace (minimum of 6 people), with options to choose an 18-hour course run over 3 days or via the 2-day Blended Learning course
